I needed unexpected surgery and was referred to Dr Hsu. Being in the medical field for 35 years and having a daughter as a physician, I have high expectations for a physician to meet. Dr. Hsu met those expectations way and beyond. He is a highly skilled surgeon, very knowledgeable, articulate and has wonderful bedside manners. i had several encounters with Dr. HSU. 1st he helped saved my life at Flagler Hospital when developed a perforated colon that led to sepsis. He & Flagler Hospital pulled me through after a week in a coma & 2 weeks in ICU. Then he performed a double hernia operation with out incident. Last 1-1/2 years later he performed colon resection surgery. All 3 incidents I was at Flagler Hospital which gave me excellent care with an outstanding surgeon DR. Hsu
Dr Hsu is absolutely phenomenal. From the start he was honest and informative. Everything he said was clear and along the way Everything was as he said it was going to be. His receptionist is great also, she went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable and deal with things, even when I was in the hospital.
Dr Hsu is an awesome surgeon, he was clear and to the point. After reviewing my CT scan, Dr Hsu informed me that I had a colon blockage in which we made plans to go ahead and do surgery at Flagler Hosp. He explained everything from start to finish how the procedure was going to go. Dr Hsu came in every day after my surgery including Saturday and Sunday to see how I was progressing. I would recommend Dr. Hsu to anyone who needed a professional general surgeon.
Dr. Hsu, after listening to me and my family explain the problem I was having. He then Explained in a very professional manner the operation and the procedure, but in words me and my family could understand. Dr. Hsu is a excellent surgeon and I will recommend him to family, friends and everyone else. It has been just over a month since my surgery and I feel great.
Dr. Hsu and I had a bumpy start with misunderstanding each other and exactly what my gastroenterologist felt was needed. Once that was cleared up, Dr. Hsu performed a lengthy surgery and made my life enjoyable again. His bedside manner gave me much peace and assurance that my health would be much better, and it is. I had a colonoscopy on October 31 the Dr who performed the procedure told me I had colon cancer and referred me to Dr HSU. I had an appointment with him within 10 days. I had colon surgery on November 16. Dr HSU was very patient and professional. He said no matter what it is it needs to come out. I was in the hospital for 5 days. Dr Hsu cares deeply for his patients and his work. He has the best bed side manor. He has been our family surgeon for many years and will continue for the future whenever we have health problems. Very informative and funny.
I am now 58 and very active and I have had 2 hernias basically my whole life so I decided it was time to look into my options of having them repaired. After speaking to Dr. HSU, he easily convinced my wife and I to have them repaired with his confidence and expertise of almost 7000 surgeries.
