I was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma in my colon. Dr. Hsu performed a robotic/laparoscopic procedure to remove a section of my colon. I was up and moving the same day with minimal pain. I was home two days later and continue to recover pain free and back to normal functioning.
Dr. Hsu is an outstanding Person and Doctor & Surgeon; He explains things in very easy to understand terms and is generous with His time in answering your questions and concerns!!! and rest assured that if you are in the Hospital, you will see Him every night and that includes weekends. Everyone in UF Health Hosp. in St. Augustine, Fl. from the 1st Floor to the 8th Floor including staff, Nurses etc. speak of Dr. Hsu in the Highest Regards and I do mean EVERYONE!!!!!

Dr.Hsu performed a colstomy reversal on me. The following morning i was up walking. after a three day stay in the hospital Dr. Hsu released me to go home. It has been almost a month now from the surgery and everything is going well. I am off soft food diet now and back to regular diet. Dr. Hsu is an excellent surgeon. He performed a laparoscopic small bowel resection on me and did a great job. I was very pleased with his care and his clear communication before and after the surgery.
After having a routine laparoscopy from another Dr, I was in excruciating pain in the hospital for days. As soon as Dr Hsu saw me he immediately took me into surgery. He found a small hole in my intestines and repaired it. Dr Hsu is a compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled Surgeon. Dr Hsu listened when others did not and as a result, saved my life.
After years of suffering with diverticulitis and two hospitalizations within three months of each other, losing 45 pounds because I could not eat, and one last very serious infection requiring antibiotics even after hospital release, I finally opted to have my sigmoid colon removed. Thank God I was referred to Dr. Hsu. I do believe I probably would not have survived another year. Dr. Hsu has done two surgeries on my dad. He’s amazing and so caring. He was always so patient with my dad - who is very stubborn… he genuinely cared for his well being and tried his best to help my dad get healthy again.
