I was seen by Dr. Hsu due to an emergency and i was lucky enough to have my emergency when he was on call. I was taken in by EMS and was pretty out of it due to infection and severe pain. He came in, checked me out, did 2 scans in 12 hours and off to surgery i went. I later found out from everyone (nurses, friends, etc) after they asked who my surgeon was, that he was the Best! i would agree, he had to do a temporary colonoscopy bag on me and was able to reverse it without any issue! outstanding results. pre op...explained every thing that had to be done in a way that was completely understandable. we did not feel rushed. operation went well . Post op . he kept my family in the loop. he was in contact with my wife as soon as operation was over. visited me later that evening as well as the next morning . made daily visits to check on my progress every day I was in hospital. Dr. Hsu is incredibly knowledgeable and trustworthy. I felt like I was in capable and caring hands from beginning to end of this ordeal, and my recovery from my surgery one week ago today is astounding. If you would have told me I'd feel this good today the day after my surgery, I wouldn't have believed it. I may have 10" less of my colon, but my quality of life is going to be infinitely better. Dr. Hsu is a top-tier doctor. At no point during the entire process (from consultation -> surgery -> recovery) was I ever worried or concerned. Excellent, I needed to return to work ASAP. And Dr. Hsu and staff worked a lot of different situations to get me into surgery ASAP. From a professional point of view. Dr Hsu surgery skills are excellent. The surgery left me with very little pain. I would highly recommend Dr Hsu and staff.
Very professional, explained procedure in detail. Recovery time explained and what to expect regarding discomfort level. Extensive information about how the surgery was going to be performed, what to do regarding lead up to the date and dietary protocol after. Surgical prep team also very good, reassuring and careing.
