Don't waste your money. I tried two attorneys on the approved list. One never returned my call, the second one did but then took two months to get an answer to say that they could not help with adding a name to a property. Terrible! Been paying premiums for 3 years and jump through all the hoops they request for documents and they always deny claims. This is the biggest scam of a company I’ve ever seen.
I’ve been paying into this plan for about a year. I need to get two home titles revised and searched for “in network” attorneys. As soon as I mentioned MetLife they stopped responding to my emails. I called MetLife where the agent was rude, condescending and unhelpful, who put me in touch with an attorney over an hour away who was not able to do the titles because he didn’t even work in the county that the titles were for. Misleading advertising. I am extremely disappointed with MetLife Legal Plans. Despite numerous attempts. I was unable to get hold of any attorney willing to assist with setting up a trust. All “in-network” attorneys either not return calls, are not accepting new clients, or refuse to help with what MetLife claims they cover. This plan has proven to be a complete waste of money. I enrolled in MetLife Federal Legal for $14 a month. Good luck actually getting help from an attorney if you need it. There was one in network attorney for my area. The attorney ignored me for two weeks until I complained to MetLife. Due to the time wasted and difficulty of getting help from their in network attorney, I requested to cancel my policy and asked for a refund of premium paid. MetLife Legal sadly does not live up to the impression it advertises. So far as I can tell, my attorney gives me a $20 break off of his hourly rate and that is it. I expected more. Hi there. MET.LIFE LEGAL PLAN is an absolute scam. This is blatant fraud at its worst. Legal Definition: "The act of deceiving, usually to gain something of value, often money." As a longtime customer of MetLife, I was shocked and disappointed the first time I attempted to use their Legal service.
