Absolute waste of time and more importantly effort. After hours of navigating online to try to find out how to utilize this benefit, I was given a list of attorneys and contact info. None of which were close to me or specialized in my type of case. Essentially I paid for a phone book that you have to jump through hoops to use and that was it. They didn't put me in contact with attorneys, they didn't get me a consultation, and it looks like all they've got is traffic ticket and will/estate lawyers. I hate it for anyone who fi... read more

I have to agree with the other reviews. I've subscribed with them for years but they have definitely gone downhill the last few years. Fewer lawyers in their referral and those that they do have either don't respond or are no help. Examples...speeding ticket: lawyer didn't do anything that I couldn't have done myself. Another speeding ticket: no lawyers anywhere near where I got the ticket and they said they would only reimburse a portion of what it would cost to hire one. Will: only one firm listed anywhere close to me and ... read more

If I could rate them lower I would. I have this legal plan through my employer and I have called 3 attorneys 3 times each and still have not received a phone call. They just will not return a call. What am I paying for? I am not going to be participating in this program just to call and get names.

Business response:

I signed up for met legal Planned through my work. I gave them my money every month. I finally need to use the service and I look up some attorneys on the website. None of the five attorneys that I called return my phone call. I called Matt Legal and tell them what happened. They send me a list of 20 attorneys, none of them who specialize in the service that I need. Total waste of time and money.

Business response:

We are sorry to hear of your experience while using your legal plan. A special representative will reach out to you to address these difficulties and offer assistance.

This is the worst plan of all time. I called and was given the names of 5 attorneys to handle a dispute with my condo board. This attorney Kaufman responds. I tell him the details and he sends an email to my condo board and Managing Agent. Kaufman tells that them they should provide information with regard to damage to my property. I call him a few days later to see if they responded to him. He says he did not receive a response. I asked well what are next steps. He tells me that he is not doing anything further. He told me ... read more

I perchance the legal plan through my job. I had some legal representation done with an attorney of my choice and had them filled the billing information. I submitted the application to MetLife for the reimburse and consistently got the run around. You cannot speak to anyone directly that handles your case. This is more than a year now and has not been resolved.

Was a ***** *****customer for 5 years and had a great experience with them going through a divorce and estate planning. Based on my prior experience, decided to stay with this company when they became MetLife - BIG MISTAKE. I'm unsure if they just fired the ***** Legal folks and replaced them with the some inept, inefficient and disorganized MetLife staff because a simple annual renewal turned into a nightmare. The customer service reps and their supervisors are initially very engaged when trying to sell you on their other p... read more

This is an absolute scam. I signed up for this plan through my employer benefits enrollment. I had a issue with excessive move out costs / security deposit from past landlord. Hyatt legal plan had a bunch on in-network attorneys listed. Called all of them. One two said they were willing to represent tenants. One of them told me plan only pays for guidance on where to get paperwork to file a small claims case and i would have to be pro-se. The other took the case, filed a very generic petition without any due diligence or eve... read more
