Pool dirty, not the best family atmosphere, but there are plenty of family places on the beach, Lani kai is a fun place to party and have fun. Have to move off of the Lani kai beach if you want your cooler etc. They want you to have to purchase anything you want from them. They ran my credit card thru twice so that was a banking issue that I should not have had to deal with. But we still had fun, fireworks were fun to watch from the suite. Rooms very expensive over a holiday for what they are. Could use some cosmetic upkeep.... read more
Lani Kai got it right at the Sabal Palm restaurant on the first floor. The Sesame Chicken Rice Bowl was delicious!!! Great portion, and great flavor! Loved having healthier choices.
The rooms were clean and semi updated. The bed were very comfortable. The outside of the building definitely needs some tlc. Parking is horrible. This is a great place to stay if you want go be in the heart of the action. It's definitely more of a party scene. It's ok if you have kids but definitely more for the party people. I don't recommend for anyone that doesn't like noise late. You can hear the band's playing from the rooms very loudly until 2am. I personally didnt mind it but I know some wont. The last 24 hours have been rough. Dredging of the water started about 35 hours ago, water is mucky, and stinks, Cable and Internet went out at about 10:00am, from the construction people ( which we knew nothing about, nothing on website saying they were working on building at any time, they start at 8:00am) cable & internet works in bars, and front desk is saying they are calling cable company to find out what's wrong. Fort Myers wouldn't be the same w/out the Lani Kai
I will give them one star just for the location. Checkin was a hassle. Staff is rude and disrespectful. They try to make you park across the road so they can charge $10 for the parking
I booked a couple of nights with out checking the weather channel:). Kids park:). Being on the beach:)!!!! Pool area :( smelt like beer may have been from the drunk girls in it?? A older couple was having a bit much fun if you know what I mean!!!! Happy Hour food and drinks :):)!! Oh wait!!!! My 4 year old Grandaughter learned how to flash her body parts due to the young ladies staying out there!!! May have been the same drunk ones that was in pool?????:/ the view!!!! 5stars!!!! We stayed at the Lani Kai for one week, with two small children (2 & 4). We were worried about staying since the Lani Kai has a reputation for being a party spot. We stayed on the Bay side, and I am so happy we did! It was quiet and clean! Parking on the weekends kind of sucked, but we mostly walked everywhere! The pool at Lani Kai was nice and the water was great. It had a little playground area for the kids so that was nice. The equipment was a little old, but they didn't mind.
