not a great experience. Failed the MOT for brake binding, changed parts and fixed the problems, but still failed me at retest with excesivelly binding. I asked for clarification and a brake test result where it is written clearly with percentage that the binding is above the limit, I got refused and encouraged to appeal. Absolute life savers! We parked our car at a hotel for 2 weeks while we were away and came back to a broken spring, AA got us to Mercury, and of all the places called they were the best price. We live 3hrs away in Norfolk and they managed to get it all sorted on the same day. We were beyond jet lagged and couldn't safely make the drive and they were happy to let us collect the following morning. All staff very kind and keen to help, especially the gentleman on reception. Woke up this morning and realised my MOT had expired today. Total panic. I called Mercury Ashford Cars at 8am asking if there was any chance they could fit me in, as I needed to get to work. The receptionist was super helpful and said, “If you bring it now, we can have it done in 45 minutes.” I got there right away and, true to their word, the MOT was done quickly and it passed. I was back on the road and at work without any stress. Thank you Mercury Ashford Cars. Can’t recommend them enough. Fast, friendly and reliable.
