Service was lowsy at best our waitress totally lacked on checking on us, our drinks sat empty and it took almost 45 min to get a tea. She had little to know customer service not even a smile. They where not even busy. The Tortilla soup was amazing in flavor! The steak special was delicious minus half of the steak being purley fat. We sat next to the from the dessert bar and I was so excited to try the chocolate torte which was poorly labeled as glutten free so it was dry and gross, add pudding lol. I too, was deeply concerned about the planned Gilad Atzmon event; but the beautiful news is that the creator and caretaker of the Mercury Cafe, Marilyn Megenity, cancelled the event. In this era when the alt-right is trying to insinuate itself into progressive spaces, her decision to cancel the event is something that will be celebrated throughout and beyond Denver's Jewish, Palestinian solidarity, anti-fascist, and other communities for years to come.
