I do indeed reccomend this place overall. I have now been 3 or 4 times. Twice to poetry / spoken word nights. Once just to hang and have a little bite to eat and tonight to hear a friend perform (sing and play guitar). I ordered a meal because was hungry it was just ok not super flavorful and kind of over priced. As someone who cooks a lot and also shops for items like tofu and veggies I know how cheap they are. I’ve been a patron of the Merc since the ‘80s. It is and always has been one of the treasures of Denver. From the eclectic decor to the unique menu, it a an experience filled with enjoyment.

The Mercury Cafe has a lot of problems incl chipped wood floor which can ram a large chunk of wood into the skin of your feet, teacher(s) who steal and sell your choreography and potential pedophile connections, and potential food contamination. You may want to ask the F.B.I. what they think about the people related to the Mercury Cafe.
Unique, funky, peaceful vibe. Very creative cooking, baking and drink making. So many cool events upstairs and frequent bonus live music while you dine.
