Unfortunately the quality of care is a joke here. Went to the walk in mental health to schedule an appointment. While in the triage room, the nurse got a call. During this call she was talking bad about a handicapped female veteran in the waiting room saying “she is just here for attention,” all while I’m in the room. Talking bad about any veteran is beyond unprofessional especially in front of another veteran. Your method of contacting patients is archaic. Many people simply cannot answer their phones during working hours or work out of town. Please adapt. Text message or E mail would work much better then both the VA and it’s patients would have documentation of the interaction.
RecommendedGood staff and friendly. I’ve almost had every on time appointments.
Most that I know that have gone there were neglected ot died.
Very nice facility with very friendly and professional staff. I had two appts and was done before my scheduled appt time.
When we first moved to Tennessee, I had my appointments at the VA, and was treated well. But, it's a 72 mile drive one way, so I was put on the Choice plan. Which worked perfectly, until May of this year when the VA instituted new policies with TriWest (the insurer for Choice). Now, you cannot self refer, and ALL referrals have to be approved by the VA. Please Please DO NOT GO TO THE ER. I WAS THERE FOR 9 HOURS AND WAS STILL NOT TAKEN CARW OF CORECTLY. THEY ARE RUDE. ONLY GOOD THING IS NICE NURSES. BUT FORGEZ THE DOCTORS.
with all the negative comments, how about a positive one. it was raining and I had to duck into a side entrance. I had recently moved to Memphis and was told I'd have to go through eligibility to get transferred. I was lost and asked a guy for directions to administration. he started explaining how but when he asked which department, he not only informed me of the "correct" dept, but it was part of his dept and he had me give him my info and turned it in.
