I turn 30 this August. I've been going to Mel's since I was in the sixth grade. Amazing food at fair prices with a staff that is friendly and will be there throughout the decade plus amount of years you visit. The one guy who rated one star because he had issues with "brunch turnover" has no business being there. Chicken fried steak. Onion rings. Fried mushrooms. Fried okra. Corn. Cole slaw. That is all.

The only reason I ever head up to Tomball is to enjoy a meal at Mel's. The onion rings are the best I have ever had! The service is great, everyone is very friendly, and I'm so glad I found this place.

Wish wish wish the country steak could be shipped to North Carolina!!! Grew up on this fantastic food and 14 years later after moving...still miss it!!
