We have literally driven by Mel's for years as we have taken our girls to and from soccer practice but we have never stopped to eat...until last night. It was great! Reminded me of some of the old cafés I grew up with in Brenham. All our food was super, the service was excellent despite being very busy, and the atmosphere was wonderful! I am just mad it took us so long to stop in and grab a bite. We will be back...soon!

Very very Texas comfort food and some massive portions to boot. Food is fresh and delicious. Best burgers and chicken fried steak place in Texas in my honest opinion!
