Chicken & dumplings were delicious!! Mac n' cheese was dried out and there was "something" in there. Steak had ALOT of fat on it. Service was not good. Server forgot 2 of our sides and then told me she was not able to take them off our check, had to wait for refills and she just was not very friendly. Thank goodness for the chicken n' dumplings!!
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I highly recommend going at least once.

They have the Best food! Their catfish is very fresh and fried to perfection. We've never been disappointed with any of their food options.
We were seated promptly and attended to fairly quickly. I had the Monte Cristo, and I have to say it was pretty good. However, Jessica recommended it, so we went there for the "Texas Famous Burgers", but were sorely dissapointed to hear they will only cook them either medium-well or well-done. Steak fingers are my favorite. My husband decided to try the pork chops, said he would diffently order again. The vegetables are always fresh and homemade. I never have room to enjoy the desserts there so I order to take home and enjoy later. Fast and friendly service.
Mel's catered our wedding on 12/4 and everyone said how amazing the food was! We had to scarf it down pretty quick, but it was soooo good!! If you are considering doing a rustic or country themed wedding, please consider Mel's. You and your guests won't regret it!
