After suffering 5 weeks, I was relieved that UC gave me the diagnosis of Diverticulitis- which they assured me relief could be easily ascertained by prescription. However, they then informed me - inorder to be supplied the medication - I must FIRST report to the hospital's ER and be processed by that triage. For UC stated I must receive a CT - to confirm there is no Cyst. If there is a Cyst?... and if the Cyst ruptured? There would be terrible complications! In view of the fact that I've suffered terribly for over 5 weeks ... read more

I had breast surgery to correct a birth defect and Dr. Otero is the BEST, and believe me, you want a woman, and I am so sorry Dr. Otero retired.

We had the most terrible experience at this urgent care today. My five year old daughter bumped her head at a summer camp and was in pain. We arrived at Medstar at 5:30 pm. After waiting for more than 30 minutes, a nurse called us. She did the regular check in and told us to wait in a tiny room. She locked the door and the air circulation was bad. We waited in this room for more than 30 minutes and still no doctor was coming. My five year old daughter was tired and hungry and started crying. She wanted to go home. So, we cam... read more

Been here 11hours now with a diabetic alzhimer aphasia patient. Came in at 1:30 got nothing to eat or drink until we asked about 4:30.at that point we hadn't seen a doctor just intake. Got xray at 8 PM still waiting for it to be read at11:PM. Still no doctor no meal or water. He takes about 12 medications an nothing has been given. That's because we have not seen anyone since intake. You know the chairs are hard chairs try sitting in that for even 3 to 4 hours. Not a fan and you know the bill will be over 5,000 If it was a a... read more

Honestly the worst doctors office I’ve had the displeasure of having to visit. I won’t even blame the receptionists because a lot is obviously out of their control… although a few of them are rude, my main issue is with the doctors, NPs, CNMs, and whoever else they have employed there as medical professionals. This office has terrible communication amongst themselves, ZERO communication with patients, shady practices, and no explanation or transparency of their their policies. My automatic Rx refills were cancelled witho... read more

Two hour wait for the results of a strep test and I had to come out of the room twice to see what was going on. Someone should at least come in and let us know the expected wait. My baby was screaming the whole time. The staff clearly doesn’t want to be here—it was so bad it makes me think they must treat their staff terribly here.

This place is not the best to go for an emergency. I arrived at 8:20pm. At the time I am writing this review no one has been able to answer me why I have not been called and there is no nurse in the nurse station.. There is no screen informing how many people are ahead of me. Can you imagine that on the tech era, this ED has no way of informing patients their turn with a simple number. It does not cost much adding monitors to keep informed patients of their turn. It is very simple. I have seen patients called and still ... read more

I completed a sleep study a year ago. I was told my results were lost then found. The next time that I reached out no one had any idea of what was going on with my sleep study results. This had been an ongoing issue for a while. Now I'm being told the info was sent off and the wait for a sleep apnea machine wait is 5-6 months. I have been waiting an year and this is unacceptable. I have not slept peacefully in this past year. In addition it is an hindrance on my family, including my marriage. I am looking for an prompt res... read more

My experience and opinion from several encounters is this: if you don’t have anything nice to say…don’t say anything at all.
