Get directionsDo not go to this hospital if you are queer. There are nurses on staff who will mistreat you if you do. I went to the ER and my nurse put my IV and monitor on way too tight. I begged for hours for them to remove them and adjust it and when another nurse finally listened to me she was surprised at how terribly it was done in the first place.
I went to Medstar today for a preop examination. Apparently the paperwork was not there. The staff was amazing. They worked hard to resolve the issue to make sure that I could have the surgery I needed and the preop examination that was necessary. I cannot say enough kind things About the care and concern. That was shown to me during this visit.
I needed Preop examination. Went to MedSTAR in Columbia. Apparently my paperwork was not there. The staff was amazing. They worked to resolve the issue as my surgery was in two days. I cannot tell you how grateful I was for their kindness and care.. They were so caring and helpful. Thank you.
Dr. Chang mocked my visit from inception. I was requesting/fulfilling an ultrasound from a Dr. in Rome, Italy where I attend university. I was home on break and subsequently had to visit another urologist, who provided both an ultrasound and diagnosis. Dr. Chang's words were, "Come back when you are 50 and have a real problem"...your words Dr.-- Navigating healthcare is tedious and difficult enough but Dr's who play GOD and are not willing to provide services that WE pay for -- have no place. You are now under investigation ... read more
Medstar Orthopedic in Olney is the worse place I have been. They started out with a great doctor but now he is not there. I saw a Dr. Mitchell who is an idiot and the type of person you wonder why they wasted the time to go to school. This Dr is not even qualified to do the surgery I need. What a freaking waste of time. If I could afford to go else where I would and it does not seem to bother Medstar if I did go elsewhere
0/0 Terrible and awful service. You will be sorry. I took off 2 days for a new patient appointment, one in November and December and they canceled both times. They now think I am scheduling a third time, I think not. They play too much and are unprofessional. Do not recommend.
We came to medstar washington hospital Emergency Department on FRIDAY for sever stomach pain which was diagnosed as retained water because of heart failure. The person was admitted some 10 hours after arrival. IT IS SUNDAY AFTERNOON NOW, WE ARE IN THE HALLWAY AT THE EMERGENCY ROOM STILL WAITING FOR A HOSPITAL ROOM. WE HAVE BEEN HERE FOR 40 HOURS AND COUNTING. IS THIS NORMAL?
This hospital is the worst hospitals in dc I been sitting in waiting area for 2hrs after getting my blood pressure check, I think this hospital is very racist towards black people, all they call is Spanish and white people to get services, I told myself I would never come to this damn hospital again and I'm getting the same result after coming here a years but it's gotten worse.
I had the unfortunate experience of spending 30 hours in their ED department while on vacation in Washington DC. Filthy conditions, majority of staff treating myself and other patients with humiliating disrespect, ignored, medication not administered as doctor ordered, had to use spit and tissues to clean my own bloody arm, told to use bed pan in the middle of overcrowded hallway ( I refused, what lady should be expected to lift her gown pull down panties and expose herself to at least 30 people). The horrors I witnessed a... read more
