Get directionsThis was the worst hospital (E.R) experience ever. We took a patient who has already been diagnosis with Cancer to the E.R at approximately midnight. It took them more than 5 hours to even see the patient. Crazy thing is we were no the only ones complaining. When we told the gentleman in the front desk whats going on, he said "everyone is sick too and we are very busy) - I still cant believe somebody in the medical profession - somebody who others are trusting their lives and health with can say that. Finally, around 7 am, t... read more
I would suggest to anyone in need of health help NOT go to this hospital. I went in through emergency because of chest pains and nobody called me for close to three hours for triage. After I was finally called into triage my blood was taken and they left the needle just in case I needed an IV and then moved to another waiting area. about four hours later I was finally taken back to see a doctor, he said I needed to be admitted and he would have the nurse bring me back my seizure meds and a lanacane pain patch. I finally got ... read more
I must confirm the reviews of several patients and family members before me. I don't know what has happened since the 3 years my husband had his first valve replacement but the staff, nurses, and techs should all be replaced or retrained in communication between families staff and doctors, bedside manner, and follow thru. My husband transfered to Medstar on December 25. I'm writhing this on January 4 and my husband will be in 3NE for several more days. He begs me to stay. He says no one looks in on him or helps him. When he ... read more
I am a heart patient, I am not sure what happened to everyone who works there, but the attitude and team members have changed so much over the past year. I miss the old team which included sasha, melisa, Jessica. it seems like it is so hard to find someone to talk to about my insurance and what I need to pay and how much my insurance will cover. I am scared about having to get an LVAD and from what other patients tell me, melisa and Jessica were great. melisa was so patient and kind, and always available. they cannot stop ta... read more
I would HIGHLY recommend that caucasions AVOID this hospital! The 98-100% African-American staff is HOSTILE to caucasions! Do not go there unless you enjoy being treated hostilly, nastily, viciously, and with incompetence!! Go there if you like all that!
I would have put zero stars if that had been an option. For patients who have had a good experience at this hospital I advise that you get the same team for your care if you return, otherwise, I advise you to go some place else if you have the option. My mom was flown there from MD and put into ICU in 4G. The staff left her with feces on her after only doing a superficial cleaning and bile after spilling it on her for three or more hours (since it took us that long to get there). One doctor called her lazy when she could no... read more
I have called, left numerous messages with different doctors all week long in reference to my parent, and when I actually spoken with a person and not gotten a machine I was promised a return call, as of 4 days Later still not a word.
Any hospital in the city is expected to be busy, however that doesn't mean that you have to treat your patients with no respect. I came into this hospital at 9pm and there were only 5 people in the emergency room waiting ahead of me. After about 15 minutes after the sign-in process, a nurse called my name and took me back to a room to do my vitals. I was thinking to myself, "Wow, this is great... finally a city hospital that is fast and efficient!!" Ummm, yea, that thought was VERY short lived!. After checking my vitals, I w... read more
