This hospital is the worst hospitals in dc I been sitting in waiting area for 2hrs after getting my blood pressure check, I think this hospital is very racist towards black people, all they call is Spanish and white people to get services, I told myself I would never come to this damn hospital again and I'm getting the same result after coming here a years but it's gotten worse.

I had the unfortunate experience of spending 30 hours in their ED department while on vacation in Washington DC. Filthy conditions, majority of staff treating myself and other patients with humiliating disrespect, ignored, medication not administered as doctor ordered, had to use spit and tissues to clean my own bloody arm, told to use bed pan in the middle of overcrowded hallway ( I refused, what lady should be expected to lift her gown pull down panties and expose herself to at least 30 people). The horrors I witnessed a... read more

Terrible experience with hospital operations and services. My father (79) had an elective surgery and rehabilitation at the national rehab hospital (NRH) in the same complex because of an AWESOME surgeon there. While docs and surgeons were great, general customer service was terrible. As the primary POC - I was never contacted by doctors or nurses following procedures. I was not provided with phone numbers to reach his medical care staff, or the nurses desk. In the NRH, múltiple meals were not delivered. There is a complete ... read more

Well, how can I start? My doctor's office sent me directly to the ER to the closest hospital, which happens to be Washington Hospital Center. I forgot the horrible experience I had almost a year ago and this makes my second trip to this hospital. I would advise anyone seeking medical care to SKIP THESE JOKERS. This hospital is the worse I have ever experienced and no one serious about care should choose this hospital. Poor service, poor response time. Given I am a 'senior' with a BP of 188/120 and I waited FOUR HOURS a... read more

Beware these fools. They are unable even to invoice your insurance company correctly. Then they send you the bill. Numerous calls and guarantees of fixing the problem has not been completed. Take your business elsewhere.

Customer Service is extremely low at Washington Hospital Center Nuclear medicine reception. Unfriendly man with threatening voice asked me to provide him with my driving license and insurance card. I have provided these documents earlier this morning at 8:30am when I checked in. He failed to explain to me, the patient of this department in friendly manner if these documents are required multiple times even if I have already provided them. His name is Mr. Rober Bailey, Medical Office Assistant II.

I have been essentially using Washington Hospital Center for all my healthcare needs. I regretted. They obtained thyroid biopsy and they did not call me back to tell me what was the fundings. No follow-up care. patients medical records, they wrote wrong report on my chart. I could have lost body parts if I were on operating table. This not for profit hospital is huge, and managing effectively specially patients' care area is unthinkable. Nonclinical employees who cover telephone lines, patients check in and check out desks... read more

Worse experience I have ever had. I waited for 2 days in a hallway to be admitted for an absesed tooth extraction. When you ask a question they lied to you, and when you tried to help them by telling them something, the ignored you. DO NOT EVER GO THERE. THEY ARE THE PITS.
