Dr. Medford is a great Dr. I recently had cataract surgery, the results were amazing. I no longer need glasses. This was money well spent. The aftercare has been excellent.
I had a prior Detached Retina surgery in one eye and a Macula hole repaired in the other, so I was very concerned about my impending Cataract surgery. Dr. Medford was very thorough and explained all my options, costs, and expected results. He even gave me several “practice” contact lenses to try out between surgeries to help me understand how my choices would effect my ultimate vision. I have been going to Dr. Medford for over 20 years. I will never trust any other doctor with the care and diagnosis of my eyes. Previously, he oversaw the healing of my eyes through a pseudo tumor and recently performed successful Cataract Surgery. He has always been diligent, kind, thorough, and patient with me and my concerns. Dr. David Medford is a TOP DOC and his office staff is just as marvelous.

Although my double eye cataract/monovision surgery was just over a year ago, I am still in awe of the gift of sight that Dr. Medford has given me. Prior to the surgery, I suffered from very poor vision and could not function without my glasses. Contacts were getting harder and harder to wear. At my first appointment with Dr. Medford, I was surprised when he told me that up-to-date methods for diagnosing glaucoma involved measuring more than just intraocular pressure. He used some sophisticated instruments to make those measurements and determined that there was no need for me to keep taking eye drops. I stopped using them. Dr. Medford did an outstanding job for me. In my first visit he carefully explained the procedure and its possible complications, answering all questions and outlining all options fully. As it turned out, after my first eye procedure went perfectly, I did develop inflammation which caused me concern… but Dr. Medford immediately responded by prescribing additional medications and seeing me nearly every day. I had Cataract and PanOptix Lens surgery in March/April 2021 and I cannot express enough how thankful I am to Dr. Medford and his Team/Staff. The surgery went very well and I am pleased. I can echo statements of others. Cataract surgery options discussed, procedure well explained both before and during. Dr Medford is an expert practitioner. Ridgedale Surgery Center is a good facility with friendly and caring staff. I have been a patient of Dr. Medford for over 20 years and he has performed multiple procedures during that time and all successful with no downside. His staff in Morristown and W. Orange are excellent!
