Home Away From Home – Don't go there expecting a glitzy 5-star hotel experience, because you'll be disappointed and humbled very quickly. But if you go there with a sense of curiosity and relaxation, you'll be adequately rewarded with a small haven on a budget. The word ambience is the key here, as the atmosphere is inviting and laid back, food down to earth, brewskis galore, and rooms egalitarian. An excellent place to get away on a budget and still not feel cheaped by the experience.

A Vacation Away From Home – Edgefield is only 15 minutes from Portland, but once you're there, it feels like a vacation away from home. The Black Rabbit restaurant uses most of the herbs and vegetables from their organic garden on the property and has some excellent dinners. The pub golf course is the most fun golfing experience I've ever had, but be warned, although it is short and easy, bring extra golf balls. great wine tasting – This is a great place to go with a large group for wine tasting. My friends and I were all treated very well, and it is really inexpensive. The server was kind a very knowledgeable. If you have a little too much to drink, the restaurants are great, and I love the rooms as well. The artwork on the walls is fabulous.
8 – Great food, beer, wine, and service! Rooms are large but bed was uncomfortable. It's a great experience especially if you get to stay in the guest house.
Edgefield fun – Edgefield is a getaway for body and spirit. Wether catching a movie, drinking great micros, or playing put-put golf on a course with panoramic vistas you will find some relaxation here. Many different bars and pubs canvass Edgefield and give the visitor a variety of environments to relax with. Don't forget to enjoy your complementary breakfast to ease your "hammerhead" in the morning.
Good Brew and Fun Golf – Offering all the famous McMenamins brews, plus a few unique ones. Friendly staff and beautiful landscapes. All of that plus one of the funnest/challenging courses in the Portland area. A definate must play for any golfer, and a good starter for anyone wanting to startup. The course is made up of 18 small holes (under 80 yds each), that wind through the Edgefield property. A good way to see the grounds, enjoy some good brew, and hang out with good friends.
Great Atmosphere – Edgefield had a great feel. Everyone is relaxed and friendly. It feels like a community and the food is pretty good. They have excellent wine a beer and it relatively cheap. In the summer they have outdoor concerts so it's a nice summer eveing outing for children and adults.
