Slow service, decent food, nice atmoshpere. – I want to give this place more stars but just can't! The service is CRAZY slow! As in order ten wait an hour for simple food. The building is an old house and is really cute inside and has lots of little private rooms to sit in. It's a good place to go if you are not in a hurry and just want to visit with company. I love the food McMenamins serves, if they could just get it to people faster. They have a great happy hour menu in the afternoon and nighttime. So go if you have time ... read more

Love the Terminator Beer and Black Rabbit Red Wine – I live their Terminator Beer and recently had a glass of Rabbit Red Wine and it was tremendous. The Vegetarian Calzone is not that great. It was watery inside probably because of the artichoke hearts, but I love the atmosphere, the drinks and the service. I agree that Chris is a great waiter.

Great Food, Drinks and Service – McMenamins in Cedar Hills in one of my favorite restaurants. I had house Pinot and wife had Black Red Rabbit Wine and they were both excellent. The Peanut Soup is to die for. I really liked the Pita/Hummus plate and the service from Chris was one of the best waiters I have experienced in Portland. His recommendations, especially the Peanut Soup, were perfect. Service was quick and food arrived immediately after we had a little talk time with the wine. They have redone the place since we have ... read more

Disappointing!! We've given this location numerous attempts to shine, but they've disappointed on the food every time. We made this a stopping point on our frequent drive from Sacramento to Portland as a place to grab lunch and a beer. Each time we've ordered food, they've gotten our order wrong or forgotten it completely. Previous trips, I've made simple requests (dressing on the side, no mayo on my sandwich), and not once have our orders come out correct. Tonight, we sat down and after about 10 min, we ordered drinks (a Ru... read more

Beer Review - the IPA is a winner! – Full disclosure - we did an impromptu beer tasting, so this review is for the beer only! We started with the Ruby (In 1985 McMenamins became the first brewery in the U.S.A. to legally use fruit in ales. While many other breweries have followed suit, we still make this Ruby exactly as we first did: Light, crisp and refreshingly fruity. Over 55 pounds of hand-macerated, fresh, whole raspberries are used in every batch. Taste the original!). First sniff, full bloom of raspberries...nice! Ove... read more

my boyfriend and I enjoy just having a beer or cup of coffee out by the red shed and enjoy meeting new people if WE choose to join in on a conversation, We have enjoyed exploring the grounds at edgefeild and feel that there is always something to do, I have enjoyed being able to take my 10 yr old son there to just let him run around the grounds but to enjoy concerts and other activities there as well, We will look forward to spending more time at edgefeild and the red shed,

This place Sucks..... – ruby and ranch, get a new job if you hate it so much! I don't often complain about food service, because I understand how hectic it can be, but I had the ultimate slap in the face experiance at this place. My girlfriend and I where meeting some friends, when we found a table and our waitress got us our drinks. When we finally decided to order the girl completly ignored us. She would walk by our table, help the customers right across from us and turn her body so she didn't have to face us. Normally we ... read more

A must-do – I love hanging out at Edgefield - always plenty of things going on to keep me entertained. Great casual atmosphere with a lot of places to explore. It's a must-do for my out of town guests - something for everyone. The only thing that bugs me - the poor service at the Power Station restaurant. At times, you'll feel invisible waiting for a table as multiple staff will pass by you without even acknowledging your presence. Other than that, I highly recommend staying at Edgefield.

Not my favorite anymore...what a shame! – I'm so bummed out that one of my favorite places to have lunch downtown, on a nice sunny day, has disappointed me again. My husband and I have eaten here several times and always loved it. However, the past two times, including today, were horrible. I ordered the fish and chips, usually my favorite, it came piled on my fries that were soaked in oil. underneath the fish were puddles of grease. When I asked the server about it he simply stated that's how it prepared. Well, I realize yo... read more
