WORST SERVICE EVER! – We were so excited when The Grand Lodge came to town, it is a beautiful place and the grounds are kept up and actually MANICURED! that is where the beauty ends. I only go when there is an event and out of convenience, because of a class event or my friends want to go sit outside and have a brew in the summertime. Each and EVERY time we are dissapointed with the service (takes a minimum of 15 minutes to have a server get over to take your order), but that is not where it ends, it is another 30-40 minutes... read more

LAST VISIT!!!!! STAY AWAY!!! RAW FOOD BAD SERVICE!!! – We had the worst dinner at Edgefield, Not only was the service horriable, The food too!!! we ordered dinner and my turkey burger tasted like fish and made me so sick. My friends hamburger was brought out raw, and when we sent it back and another one was FINALLY brought back to us.... IT WAS RAW TOO!!!!!! fyi the burger was just meat and cheese no bun, and they couldnt even cook that right!!! Then we were charged for two burgers and only took one off...and then she blamed... read more

Eminence Facial – I recenty ran into this place, and was pleasantly surprised the Grand Lodge had such a nice spa! I scheduled a facial after a long hike near by, and found the greatest gem! I live in Portland and now I will have to make a few visits at Ruby's. Clean professional and the facial was amazing!!!

Not Impressed – The Black Rabbit is supposed to be the nice restaurant at the place and had the worst service ever. The food was decent but they made our group feel like we did something wrong when their staff was awful. Rude, incompetent and not personable. The hotel was VERY loud and we didn't sleep a wink. Paper thin walls and people yelling, pounding and talking til 3 am. I like the idea of the place and even the history of it but I won't be back.

could not find an entry for McMenamins on Broadway, so created the review here. McMenamins on Broadway - ate there in February 2011, in the evening. Fries were undercooked and very, very greasy. Worse yet the hamburger had been placed into a pool of grease on the plate. Absolutely unnacceptable food. even worse, the waiter was inattentive. kept talking to his friends at another booth. have come to the conclusion that unless you're drinking beer, McMenamins is really not worth your time.

Stay away. – Poor service and over-reactive security at Edgefield. I've been a huge McMenamins patron for years but kicking a paying guest off the property for telling a bartender he's a jerk? I scanned some other reviews and it appears the security team there has been a problem for others as well. Escorting a guest to their car after over serving and making them leave is a serious liability. That's lawsuit material. Sorry McMenamins, you just lost a long time customer.

If you want slow service, bad food yet good drinks... – This is your place for bad food and service. Every time I come back here, I think it will improve, or I think, Hey, it was just bad luck....NO. I like you can walk around its huge yard in the summer and drink where ever you like. That is about it.
