Normally I would say yes but understaffed ER during Flu season is just ridiculous. So far not amazing care.
I am writing this as I currently wait in the ER. I brought my youngest in for a suspected broken nose due to a fall that occurred at approximately 3:55pm. He was triage at 4:11 and was brought to a room. From 4:20 to 6:30pm, we sat in a room waiting for a physician. I understand that ER's get busy. my son already has a bone disorder along with several medical complications due to his diagnosis. Which I have shared with staff, yet appears to fall on deaf ears. Went to the ER on December 26, with pain in my leg. Told the nurse that I think it is a blood clot, had one 2 years ago. Quickly got a room. Received great care. Nurses, doctors, transporters were kind and told me everything to expect. 7 hours later, they were very busy, I went to the 2nd floor and had a room. Again I was taken care of. Was told what to expect during night, checking vials every 4 hours. Next day, given blood thinners, explained about them and how to avoid clots. RecommendedNot going to say I don’t recommend mclaren because the medical staff was great. But the cafeteria staff was so rude. Me and my fiancé were treated so badly by the cafeteria staff. Rolling their eyes and mumbling stuff under there breath. Then when you told them how rude it was they got argumentative about it. I can only imagine how many other people they treated rudely like this. I worked in customer service and I work in patient care now. I know that you should never ever treat anyone that way.
My brother was seen for the flu yesterday night into this morning he got put in a room took the nurse about 30 minutes to come in. When she came in she was coughing without covering her mouth nasty attitude and just seemed really to not care what so ever. She didn’t introduce her self or anything. it is filthy. urine all over the bathroom floor with dirty toilet paper thrown on the floor. the toilets were full of dried urine. the ER room and bed we're also filthy. I made a complaint with the board of health. this hospital 2 ratings of a C for Macomb county. you are taking a risk of contacting something from this place.
