I used McGlinchey & Co to do the conveyancing on a bungalow I bought in Wales in January 2024. Everything was done timely and efficiently and there was no issue with the property being in Wales. A Frustrating Encounter with Broken Promises and Policies Disregard the old positive reviews; my recent encounter with McGlinchey & Co has left me thoroughly dissatisfied. On a fairly simply conveyancing requirement experienced poor communications. Seller was slow initially, but then the delays were on the McGlinchey side for months. Richard seemed away or on holiday more than he was available and promised updates, call backs etc rarely happening - after 6 months still experiencing issues completing.
I have been dealing with McGlinchey & Co. Solicitors for more than 20 years and have referred them to many friends. Every experience has been exceptional & professional. Great communication and always prompt. A big thumbs up to this great team.
All I wanted this solicitor to do was to witness me signing a French house sale form, a five minute easy job yet that was too difficult for them and they wanted to fob me off to another “notary solicitor” who wanted to charge me £169 plus vat!! This was not necessary!! This is appalling now my children lose their money as the house sale will collapse! Avoid this outfit!!!
