"Smyrna Bakery" was opened in the late 1940's by Howard McEntyre Sr. in downtown Smyrna on Atlanta Road. The business was certainly a family affair as sons Howard Jr., Louis, and Wilson all worked in the bakery as well as Howard Sr.'s wife, Granny. After "Smyrna Bakery" closed in early 1954, Howard McEntyre Jr. opened the current "McEntyre's Bakery" in late 1959 which was also located on Atlanta Road in Smyrna just a few miles from the original store. McEntyre’s hit it out of the park yet again for my sons’ 3rd Birthday... Pull-Apart Lightening McQueen Cake!! It was a hit with the whole party!!! Thank you so much!! Wish I could post a pic!!!
Called them twice and got hung up on. The girl taking my phone call was rushing me off the phone. It was like she didn’t want my business. My family has used u guys before and I was saddened how I was treated.
I picked up a cookie cake on Friday afternoon for my husband's birthday dinner that night. Unfortunately when we went to eat it, it was hard as a rock! Very disappointed!

The fruitcake was AWESOME!! I wish this would be available year round. I normally do not like fruitcake but McEntyre’s was great! Lots of pecans and so moist!
I always stop here on my way through Georgia and I am never disappointed. This is a great business ran by a beauty family and I will be a lifelong customer.
