Got my car serviced from them recently and the initial quote was 300 ( which I presumed to be the full service cost including the cleaning inside and out). I was never informed that they have bronze silver and platinum service which means the price they quoted was for the minimum which includes changing the Oil and bare minimum. I did a mistake of comparing their bare minimum coat with the MGs complete service cost which duly includes full cleaning inspection and all other full service. I have given 5* for the honesty of the gentleman at the sales desk. Initially came to swap my s8 for an xc90 but didn't go ahead, however I felt valued and educated to make me understand what is what. Thank you

I recently took my car to McCarthy Cars (UK) - Service Centre at Silver Wing Industrial Estate, Horatius Way, Croydon, for its annual service. Typically, their service is quick, and I can expect the car to be ready within a day. However, this time, things were very different. The service took over a week, which was a significant delay compared to their usual efficiency. The issue seemed to stem from the diagnostics process, which took much longer than anticipated. Problem with my car was coolant leaking this started within 6 months of getting the car returned it and was told they couldn't find a problem went back 4 more times replaced pump ,thermostat and still told me they couldn't find a problem, had more problems so went to another garage and said it was the head gasket and it is well known for this problem, why didn't Mccarthys know. really not what you expect from a reputable firm like them.
