You never know what you're going to get with a service company. This one was professional, prompt and knew their business! The service man who called to fix our refrigerator could have come right out of a TV commercial for appliance repair. He tested, he summarized the problem and then went about fixing it. Parts and testing equipment were all over our kitchen floor, but you hardly knew the guy was there and work was being done. Sometimes service is a pain. This certainly was a pleasant surprise. I completely agree - BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY EVER!!! The service tech showed up at our house under the influence. Refused to service our washing machine because one of the other tech's from Quaker City Service had order the a part based on the error code we had provided the company. Thus, accusing of with self diagnosing our Maytag washer. Where in reality, the tech was angry and intoxicated. He tripped of his won two feet when he was standing on our front door mat. Awful!!! Close to $350 to replace ice maker in a Kitchen Aid refrigerator. Serviceman was not able to give me a price breakdown. I reasearched ice maker prices before he arrived an they listed between $45 and $60. Told him that and he adamantly disagreed. Told him that I needed to speak to a supervisor and his response was that I had to wait unt the next day. I called kitchen aid part center after he left and ordered the part for $43.55 plus shipping. They have come out multiple times claiming to have fixed my dishwasher and yet the problem persists. The repair guys have been late, rude and one smelled like alcohol. This company is SHADY, steer clear!
ZERO STARS!!!! Quaker City Appliance Repair is a Maytag subcontractor for warranty & service plans. Tech came out on 5/23 told me my washer bearing had broken and cost was over the limit of my plan -not true -REPAIR PLUS 1 covers repair plus an additional year warranty. He had to get authorization and order parts before this could be fixed. Got Authorization on 5/27 then ordered parts which finally came in on 6/3.They were supposed to finally come on 6/9/16 to fix my washer. I had a great experience with Quaker City. my dishwasher was leaking so I called into their office. I was able to schedule an appointment for the very next day. The technician arrived within the time frame they provided. Found out that it was leaking due to a defective seal. He had the parts on his truck and was able to fix it that same day. Very happy with my service from Quaker City. They fixed my dishwasher that was not draining. From the moment that I called they were extremely helpful and professional. I was told they would be there between 9 and 11 and they arrived at 10:22. The repair tech was skilled, professional, and extremely nice. I recommend this company to everyone in the area.
EXCELLENT Service all around!!! I expected to be disappointed based on several reviews; and a non-existent appointment supposedly scheduled by an inept Whirlpool representative however, from my first call to Quaker City, Dawn and Alyssa made sure my appointment went through correctly by contacting the Whirlpool representative directly to help her schedule the appointment correctly and followed up with me by calling me to confirm the appointment!!
