Mayflower is by far the BEST place to get seafood in Jackson!! If you want real seafood this is the place! Not to mention they're comeback dressing!! Just put it on a cracker! It's addictive!! Staff is awesome! Our regular waitress, Sondra knows exactly what we want!! They know us when we walk in the door! Not very many places now are like this! Just try the redfish with scallops! Amazing!!
Great hostess, great waitress, great atmosphere, wonderful food -- broiled pompano and the acropolis special.
The food was great the other night. Just called to see if they had gumbo tonight and when I asked what was in it she was extremely rude and told me she didn't have time to tell me. She had a full house and 19 people standing in front of her. Did I say RUDE!!!! You don't have time to tell me what's in your gumbo so I can walk down there and get some...she said no. I hung up.
I went to the Mayflower Cafe tonight for dinner. It took over 10-15 mins once we sat down to even be acknowledged. I ordered a Diet Coke (which was expired as of Oct. 3rd) and water (which had black particles floating on the bottom). The salad came out with no silverware. When we explained everything to the waitress and that we wanted to cancel our order, she basically just told us "no problem, y'all can go"...no apology or anything. Needless to say, we left and will not be returning!
Great food. Great waitresses. They always have fresh seafood too.
Absolutely great. Atmosphere, service, and of course, the food. The Jumbo Soft Shell Crabs were a meal. Won't be hungry
