They also didn’t respect the work area—tools and materials were left scattered around, and my property was left in a mess after each visit. When I raised concerns, they were defensive and dismissive rather than helpful.

Communication was a major issue from day one. They were slow to respond, missed scheduled appointments without notice, and offered little to no explanation for delays. It often felt like I had to chase them just to get basic updates on progress.

I completely agree with the review stating that Ray is a scammer. He initially tried to demand full payment upfront, but we insisted on paying only half and the other half upon completion. While he comes across as very friendly at first, that quickly changes once issues arise. He built a table for us with a very poor-quality finish, rough and unprofessional. Ray is very friendly and helpful. He listened to what I wanted and created a beautiful decking area with gazebo. Highly recommend Mayfair Carpentry.
