Hubby and I have traveled past this place many times. Always say we should stop. Well we finally did. Love the atmosphere! Waiter was pretty good at keeping our drinks full and asking us how we are doing. The never ending salad was very good! Only complaint I have is the sauce/gravy that was on my filet! Steak was cooked perfectly but needed more seasoning (salt & pepper goes a long way) and NOT A GRAVY poured over it!! I judge a filet by it NOT needing any kind of sauce! Matt's has been a favorite of our for years! Once again we had a wonderful lunch. Service is great and the food so wonderful. Candace was our waitress. .she was new and worked so hard..did a great job. I have taken family and friends here and no one has ever had a bad thing to say. We own a lake house at table rock and a home in the st louis area. I just wish there was a Matt's in st charles or branson. I have yet to try the steak, but love their chicken fettuccine. Great atmosphere, clean and excellent service. I will be going there several more times in the future.
