Matt’s Steakhouse is the bomb. We love the place and it’s always great visiting with Matt. The only improvement would be for them to move to Sullivan. LOL.
My husband is really picky about his steaks. Everywhere we go he will try their filet mignon to see if it will top Matt’s Steakhouse. Every single time we waste our money, because he ends of saying, “This is no where as good as Matt’s filets.” Job well done to you all. We love coming there to have the salad and breadsticks as well. One of the best steakhouses in Missouri, if not the whole state.
I used to love Matt's, however the last 2 times have been awful. The tea tastes like syrup, the music was too loud, lights were too dim, the salad tasted like it had sat in the dressing for a few hours. The meal itself was tasteless. I orederd a hot dog for my daughter and it looked like it had been microwaved, the "bun" was a slice of bread, and the fruit wasn't fresh. This was pur second visit and it was amazingly delicious once again , I have never had a better steak before ,truly yummy and tastes great , the steaks were so tender you almost didn’t need a knife to cut it. The breadsticks were awesome as well . We did have the bread pudding for dessert and OMG , delicious once again , I can’t praise this place enough , so glad we found this restaurant
I've only eaten here twice. Each time the service was excellent. The atmosphere is very nice. The first time I had the ribeye and I didn't think the cut was as good as one that I had a local steakhouse the week before for cheaper. The second time I had the prime rib and it was excellent. Amazing actually. My wife chose the ribeye this time around and ordered medium well... It was more rare than my medium rare prime rib. In other words, I would avoid the ribeye.
