watch out tongue! – Only the greatest burger and atmosphere in Minneapolis! Great staff and great service! The fries are perfect and you have to eat the entire basket before your Jucy Lucy is edible anyway. Be sure to try the fried and raw onion combo on your burger. The grill is seasoned to perfection!
Don't go for the Fries! – I was pumped up for a great burger and fries after reading the reviews. I Called my order in and picked it up. I love Hot Fresh fries so I didn't want to wait. Grabbed a fry right away and it was SOGGY! The man I spoke to on the phone was very plesant and helpful. Burger though not the best thing to eat healthwise, was very good. The fries though were not anything that I would have expected. Not a bad place if you are in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there.
An inferior Adrian's – I've been sporadically going to Matt's since I was a young lad. Now I'm 22 and have travelled to enough bars and enjoyed enough burgers to know that Matt's doesn't even come close to the supreme deliciousness of an Adrian's burger (I'm partial to the Lurtsie: bacon cheeseburger or when I feel like filling my stomach, the monstrous Juicy Lucy.) Yummy burgers! – No one comes close, Matt's has the best burgers hands down. No frills here, just a basket with the best burger and you can order a basket of fries. Best meal for under $5 in town.
Best burter – This by far the best burger in the city. If you can't get In-n-out you must go here. The jucy Lucy's are excellent, and they have great fries.
Yum – Jucy Lucy was great. Probably not good for you, but delicious! Place seemed a little weird being there the first time. Like we didn't know what you are supposed to do and we felt a little hurried by the staff and even other customers waiting for a table. It was super busy when we were there, but the Jucy Lucy is worth it.
THE HOME OF THE JUCY LUCY – many evenings there is a wait. sometimes the service can be better. but once you get the original jucy to eat, you wouldn't want to be anywhere else. football on the HD tvs. Freebird on the brand new itune juke box and Blue Moon on tap. what else is there.....
Not the good burger we had been reading about! – After reading the reviews we finally drove to Matt's, quite a distance from us I might add, it was a disappointment, both our burgers were over done...crispy meat, very dry and the frys were over done...in fact the table next to us had three baskets of fries made before they would eat them. The setting was just what we had expected...a dive and a good place to go after work, cheap not expensive, certainly not a place to go for a nice dinner out. best in MPLS – i have been going here since i was a kid. the sevice has always been nice...i even once got horribally sick inside and they gave me and my friend our food for free. i left a HUGE tip and thanked them, watch out for the cheese... i dont reccommend this for a date..it would be hard to hear. but its great for hanging out with friends, family but be far-warned, it is SMOKING...but u can always take it to go :) :) :)
