A Georgetown fixture since the early 1930s, Martin's Tavern leans decisively towards the historical - rather than the trendy - aspect of this neighborhood. The former New York Giants baseball player William G. Martin opened this neighborhood pub in 1933. Today his grandson, Billy Martin runs the family business. Dark wood paneling and touches of hunter green make for an attractive interior. The menu features American and continental classics - steak and seafood as well as pasta served with marinara or alfredo sauces.

1/2 a piece of quiche with crabmeat $12.95 is too expensive. The service is outstanding.
We called in for the first time yesterday evening for a quick drink and ended up staying for 3 hours. A really friendly atmosphere and the bartender Alejandro was great. I thoroughly recommend the Cherry Blossom themed cocktails.
Excellent service from Blake. It was busy but they seated us immediately due to a mix up on if they were seating walk ins. Brandon was kind enough to find us a table by the fountain since we walked there specifically to eat at this resturant because a friend reccomended it highly. Would definitely go back if I'm ever this way again.
Service was over the top fantastic and food was the same. Had the Ahi Tuna with mushroom risotto and I was in heaven. Sat us at the booth where JFK proposed to Jackie. Very special. Go here!!!
Business response:
Thank you Judy!!
Fantastic nostalgia brought us in but the food and service will bring us back.
My wife and I had a wonderful breakfast & wonderful experience just yesterday at Martin's Tavern. Luis (manager on duty) and Luis (our server) as well as the entire team were all great. They went out of their way to make sure everything was served hot & perfect. The Challah French toast was out of this world! They even took our photograph in the historic booth style tables. We thank you all for making this such a memorable Sunday morning in Georgetown! Peter & Donna from New Orleans
Business response:
Thank you Peter!
