Edit after tenancy ended (still 1 star, but I'd give 0 if I could): Martin & Co Slough were by far the worst estate agents I’ve ever been with. As well as being generally useless (see original review below), they were also completely dishonest and overall, unprofessional. I’m honestly shocked these sorts of dealings are allowed in a major chain. I recently moved out of a property managed by Martin & Co, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. I mainly dealt with Harpreet and Kelly, who were both professional, friendly, and very responsive. They resolved all issues we faced during the tenancy quickly and efficiently, making the whole renting experience smooth and stress-free. The move-in and move-out processes were straightforward. The most disgraceful and unethical agency I’ve ever dealt with. Martin & Co – especially Callum – should be ashamed. I viewed a property and paid the holding deposit within hours. They confirmed they received it, then went completely silent. No updates, no replies. I chased them nonstop. Only four days before my move-in date, they casually told me it was rented to someone else. This is not miscommunication – this is deceit. My experience of Martin & Co. was a nightmare. Although an initially positive start with Harpreet before moving in, this quickly went downhill. The apartment was cleaned to a low standard by the previous tenant which was noted in the inventory report. Upon moving in, bugs were discovered on the bed and sofa. The agency were informed immediately but as it was after 2pm on a Saturday, there was no one available to contact me back. Customer service for Rental, Harpreet very efficient and adaptive service. I liked dealing with all members of the slough office, who are helpful in finding me a rental . Properties offer good functionality for the flats and homes they rent out in nice areas. I am pleased with their service.
