My husband has a genetic peripheral neuropathy and his R knee was very out of alignment due to wear and tear. Right off the cuff he was very familiar with the neurological condition and had treated other people with it. He took his time and answered all our questions, and told us the risks of waiting too long. He replaced my husband's knee and it came out perfectly straight. When my husband fell 6 weeks later and split the knee open, Dr. Shekhman stayed at the hospital late to repair the knee.

I had a hip problem and was not familiar with any surgeons in my area. I read about Dr. Mark Shekhman on the Health Grades web site. I could not have made a better choice. He put me at ease from the very start and was very easy to talk to. He never made me feel he was in any hurry and answered all my questions. I had my hip surgery 4 months ago and it could not have gone better. There were no complications and I healed very quickly.

Very disappointed with my initial visit after I had an MRI diagnose Osteonecrosis in my left hip. Severely understaffed, was not prepared with my info ESPECIALLY my MRI that was ordered by another doctor in same group . I asked did you review my MRI I just had taken for this appointment his response was yeah normally my girls have selected x-rays and films up on your chart for when I review with patients and he left it at that, never even bothered with trying to pull them up.

I saw Dr. Shekhman as x-rays indicated bone on bone in my right hip. I?m 53, play hockey & wood bat baseball. Dr. Shekhman gave me 2 options; hip replace or Burnham resurface. We chose resurfacing & w/in 2 weeks I was easily walking including up/down stairs. After 4 weeks I can now literally jog if I so dared. No pain/no limp. Follow-up x-rays showed perfect alignment of the new metal femoral to my good side. Awesome doctor!

Extraordinary knowledge and care. Exceptional compassion. I came from FL to have only Dr Shekhman do my surgery.

Had a wonderful experience with a total knee replacement with Dr. Shekhman.. He has the best bed side manor. He explained every little detail about the surgery and recovery so you clearly understood what was going to happen. His staff is also the best, making or changing appointments is always an easy experience.

As far as I am concerned he saved by life. I had a knee replacement in spring of 2013 by fall of 2014 I had a severe infection in my leg, due to the original surgeon, who will remain nameless, put a nickel component in me after I had informed him I was very allergic to nickel. Dr. Shekhman removed it put in an antibiotic spacer for 2 months and I received IV antibiotics for those 2 months. In early March of 2015 he placed a titanium knee in my leg. I am pain free and loving it. Thank you.

First, let me emphasize that I do not typically write negative reviews or any reviews for that matter. I went to Dr Shekhman for pain in my hip. I am a 59 year old woman who is 30- 40 pounds overweight. I am not morbidly obese nor am I a couch potato. My weight has been a life long struggle for me and I do not take my weight problem lightly. Dr. Shekhman started out by insulting my weight and he told me he could not treat me due to my high BMI. He rudely asked me if I even knew what a BMI is
