Dr. Shekhman replaced my right hip 3 months ago and I am very happy with the outcome. I had very little pain after the procedure and a quick recovery.
I had an anterior total right hip replacement with Dr. Shekhman in September 2020 and was playing golf eight weeks later. I can’t say enough about the quality of the surgery, quick recovery, and physician follow up.
Partial knee replacement went very well. One year ago. Golfed more this year pain free than anytime in my life. Yes like others have stated he gets on you about your weight . In was annoying but guess what I lost 22 lbs because I knew he was right. I’ve kept it off.
I had an anterior hip replacement in March 2020 . The surgery was easy and recovery quick and uneventful. I am 78 and must say that if I were of an age to want to wear a bikini, I would definitively recommend Dr. Shekhman. He is a master at stitching!
Worst surgery ever experienced. After being berated in front of another Dr. post-op for a skin infection around the hip he obviously caused, he proceeded to continue to berate me as if I were not there for being overweight (30 lbs. of which I am well aware). I was released with a temp and oblique femoral fracture. After 3 weeks of pain complaints, I was readmitted. A Total Hip Revision had to be done, all the while he blamed me for breaking my own femur, even though no visible signs showed. No bruising. No abrasions. No exte... read more
Dr. Shekhman and his staff are the best. I had left knee replacement Feb 6 2020 and on Feb 18 2020 I am moving around the house without a cane. The Doctor and his staff will listen to you and answer your questions. I would recommend them to everyone.
Did a great job on a total hip replacement. Fast recovery, no issues at all. I also enjoyed my interactions with him. When my wife needed a hip replacement, we went to him and had the same experience.
Received a copy of the office note today. My recommendation is patients who see him tape the encounter. The documentation of the visit did not accurately reflect the interaction. It of course could not capture the pompous attitude he had but he mischaracterized my comments about my choice to change physicians. I disliked the long wait in is colleagues office and the difficulty in getting an appointment not seeing the APRN who couldn’t have been nicer. He felt it necessary to put that into the visit note although it had no re... read more
Went to see him for my knee and was very clear that surgery was a last resort. Wanted to try physical therapy, cortisone etc before surgery. After review of test results he sent his PA in to tell me I needed surgery. First, surgery was my last choice, and second, don't send me a PA to tell me that!!!
Business response:
Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We agree with you that attempting non-surgical treatment options such as therapy or injections would be the best first approach. You may have misdirected your review to the incorrect physician as Dr. Shekhman does not have a PA and would only give a surgical recommendation face to face. Your experience highlights the importance of conservative treatment as well as face to face communication with your surgeon. Thank you for sharing.
