My elderly friend had fallen and broken her arm in 3 places. She didn’t know where to go or who to see and was in a lot of pain. The hospital referred her to Dr. Schultzel as well as her PCP. Right off the bat, they made a quick connection and he put her at ease instantly. He explained to her that surgery was needed for her elbow and possibly a second for her wrist. Thankfully, the second one wasn’t needed. The care that he and his staff showed us goes above and beyond more than any other office I’ve ever been to. As a retir... read more
Thoroughness and follow-up were outstanding.
He is very professional, caring and humble Doctor
I massively tore most of the tendons in my shoulder working out. No matter how hard I tried I could not raise my arm. Dr. S performed surgery and amazingly replaced the tendons with cords through 3 little holes that you can’t even see now. 7 months later I’m at about 90% movement and 60% strength and I’m back surfing. He’s got the best bedside manner and I could tell he really cared. If you mess up your shoulder do not go to anyone else!!! Dude is a wizard.
He has a great staff. Also, a teaching doctor giving him the ability to explain things in layman terms to me. I feel that this would be an asset to anybody receiving care. My follow up care stood out, easily navigated through his staff. He has a great deal of organization going on in the office that helped me navigate disability insurance. Physical therapy has helped me greatly to return to work
Dr. Schutzel is super kind, personable, great bedside manner, and performed two surgeries on my hand and elbow. Six months later I am doing so well. Highly recommended!
Dr. S is a talented surgeon with a wonderful bedside manner and a great sense of humor. He was supportive throughout my recovery from shoulder surgery always patiently answering my questions. I admire his dedication in mentoring the next generation of medical professionals. We all benefit from his efforts.
In June 2022, I broke my ankle skateboarding. Even at 31 years old, I was doing my best skateboarding and leveling up quickly and breaking my ankle was a big blow mentally. Even more so when Dr. Schultzel told me surgery would be the best option given I wanted to get back on my board as soon as possible. Dr. Schultzel didn't push me to surgery - he helped me understand the pros and cons of my decision and let me make my choice on my own and that is why I chose surgery. Because I chose Dr. Schultzel I was able to walk in my b... read more
Dr Shultzel helped with getting me using my right elbow again. From beginning to now everything has been absolutely amazing in dealing with him as a doctor and his staff. I can't say enough of how great it is to have a doctor care so much in medicine today, and ensuring you are well taken care of and fully informed as a patient. I will absolutely be seeing Dr Schultzel for any other orthopedic issues and will gladly refer him to anyone I know that might need him.
