Sadly, we had a difficult birthing experience under the care of this physician. He was very intent on dictating the entire course of care, often without offering much in the way of reasonable explanation, even becoming aggressive when we asked questions and raised legitimate concerns. He may have experience, but the lack of respect he showed to my family during this intimate, emotional time will undoubtedly resonate with us for a very long time.
It's hard to come by an ob/gone with his own practice. Knowing that you will see the doctor that will deliver your baby every visit made me feel safe and reassured. Dr. Gapinski explains things thoroughly and does not hesitate to answer questions over the phone either. He is honest and direct which I appreciate. He is supportive in whatever child birth plan you choose. I had a wonderful birth experience with him and highly recommend him. I also love his receptionist- she is wonderful.
