This was a follow-up visit 2 months after open biceps tenodesis. Dr. Herring examined me, said I was making good progress, and patiently answered my questions related to pain and continuing recovery.
Dr. Herring is so kind and makes you feel comfortable at your visit. He explains things very through.
Professional staff. Used proper pandemic procedures. Dr. Herring is very caring and made sure I understood my diagnosis and what needed to happen next.
This visit was to review the findings of an MRI of my shoulder and discuss next course of action. Dr. Herring reviewed the MRI findings with me, taking the time to explain to my understanding. He patiently answered several of my questions regarding the partial tear in my rotator cuff and about surgical repair.
Great surgeon. He repaired three severed tendons in my shoulder. I now have the full use of my arm back.
Dr Herring & his staff are awesome!! I have had minimal pain from my total shoulder replacement & rotator cuff repair. If you are facing this surgery do yourself a favor & see Dr Herring at OrthoVirginia, you will not regret it.
I was seen in less than 10 minutes. I was screened by a nurse prior to entering the facility. Temperature take and screening questions. My problem was explained in detail with anatomical diagrams. Nice bedside manner.
Dr. Herring listens, hears, helps and all with a nice bedside manner.

He reviewed my x-rays, was thorough in his exam, and took time to explain what was going on with my rotator cuff and options for treatment. He recommended a cortisone injection to reduce inflammation (to which I agreed) and continuation of PT exercises with a follow-up appointment in 6 weeks. After 24 hours,... read more
