Doc was thorough with explaining my concerns and examining his work on my shoulder. Made hopeful for a full recovery.
Just had 6-week followup and everything is on schedule. X-rays show show reverse shoulder replacement is in correct placement and range of motion is right for this stage. PT is going well and Dr. Herring ordered the PT move to phase 2. Meeting was on time, x-rays were done promptly and Dr. Herring answered all my questions. Friendly, professional and all-around great visit. Can't ask for much else.
My follow up visit was for a total shoulder replacement. Dr Herring took the time to explain how the process was going to play out over the near future as well as answering all of my questions in a way that was easily understood. He also went over my post-op X-Ray showing the outcome of the procedure. I felt completely satisfied at the end of the check up.
Dr Herring is an accomplished orthopedic surgeon. He was respectful of my time and performed a thorough assessment. He suggested conservative treatment rather than “surgery is the only option.”
He listens to what you are saying and you do not ever feel rushed. Has a wonderful bed side manner and very professional. Been extremely happy with all of my visits and any treatments

I have complete use of my left arm. I’m now experiencing similar symptoms with my right shoulder and the only Dr. I would consider was Dr. Herring.
Communicative, thorough, pleasant, listens, what more can I require?
Informative and an overall fantastic visit.
Dr Herring did an outstanding job of explaining my injury, describing surgical alternatives, and setting realistic expectations for recovery. My injury was described as “massive” complete tears of multiple tendons in shoulder/rotator cuff due to an injury. I could not raise my arm above waist level. It is now 14 weeks post surgery and I can already raise my arm above my head. Dedicated rehab and a great physical therapy team have been a big part of the progress, But Dr Herring did a wonderful job with what had to be a challe... read more
