Not a place for "Regular Joe Boat Owner". I purchased a used 2008 Sea Ray 240 at the end of 2019 from a private seller. The boat was in great cosmetic shape and the sea trial seemed fine. I cleaned and shined the boat out of shear excitement awaiting the summer. I did find a few things that needed to be addresses mechanically, but she shined up good. 5 star service, selection and execution.
They do not stand behind their work. It’s a long story but after repair our boat would not reverse when driving home from marine max and loading on home dock lift. Never expected that so when we were going into slip and reversing to adjust boat onto lift it would not reverse. So we ran into brand new dock and smashed new trolling motor. Not going fast, just normal docking. Marine max could not reproduce the issue and will not replace trolling motor and dock damage.
