This complex is a fine alternative to ocean-themed parks like San Diego's Sea World. Here, you can view sick or injured seals and sea lions rehabilitating in preparation for their return to the ocean. The center, run by two full-time staff members and a number of volunteers, caters primarily to California Sea Lions, Northern Elephant Seals, Northern Fur Seals and Harbor Seals. The center also has a gift shop and exhibits with materials intended to educate the public about marine mammals. Admission is free.

This is the real thing. Free admission. Donations desperately needed. I just moved to SP from New York: wonderful place to discover my first month here.
What I like about that place is that show that they believe helping while animals from the ocean
Great place to take your kids. Adults will enjoy as well.

The MMCC does such great work for the seals and I love the little elephant and harbor seals they’re so cute! Plus the little sea lions keep up the good work
😍 is a great experience and learning opportunity for kids and adults.
Great place to bring your youth groups. Docents are knowledgeable and fun and super patient! They taught not only the kids but parents to! Be sure to visit and donate !
