The good doctor is an excellent surgeon according to his own records,qualification and of course himself! Sadly his bedside manner is atrocious. Words like empathy compassion and basic understanding are missing from his resume. I am not disputing his skills If he would only learn to treat patients not as complete strangers but with the same respect I am sure he has for his own family.. He would be better served After all they are human beings and not building blocks for his career.

Dr. Umlas is a brilliant surgeon, professional, knowledgeable, and he is very meticulous attention to detail. His staff are fantastic. I did have a right hip replacement in November 2017, I am right now, 100% recovered, Thanks Dr. Umlas, you are the best! I highly recommend Dr. Umlas and his team!

Dr. Umlus changed my life - I am a year old male and needed a hip replacement - I went under the knife on January 9th and within 5 weeks was back on the golf course to my regular routine - The pain is gone - and I feel incredible - Can’t express how great his staff is - They hide their wings under their scrubs - angels - all of them - God Forbid you ever need a hit or knee replacement - if you - it’s the only call you should make - five stars

Dr. Umlas is the most professional doctor I know. Dr. Umlas performed my left hip replacement 13 years ago, and one year ago he replaced my right hip. I would never consider any other doctor to do surgery on me. I am thrilled he was my surgeon. I am walk 5 miles daily and feeling terrific. Dr. Umlas is a brilliant doctor, and a kind and gracious gentleman. His staff is very friendly, and always made me feel like family.

My wife had a total hip replacement by Dr. Umlas 10 weeks ago. The surgery was extremely successful, The rehab was without issue, she took no opioids for pain, the hard to discern scar is only about 3 inches long, she is fully recovered (although still has to be careful), has no limp and is thrilled with the results. There are some reviews about a poor bedside manner. Nonsense. I think. some people can't take the truth. He is bluntly honest but that is what you want. Kudos to Rachel & Jesse.

I visited Dr Umlas recently for my grandmother who needed a hip replacement. I was really impressed with his demeanor, knowledge, expertise and his ability to care for his patients. His office staff is amazing. My grandmother had her hip replaced and she is doing amazing. God bless Dr. Umlas and his amazing hands. He is truly an eminence!!

I refer to Dr. Umlas as "hands of platinum" because he did the most amazing surgery on my fractured left ankle, my stitches are very tiny & can only be seen on close inspection. Dr. Umlas must be an incredible professor as his explanations are completely accurate & he answers questions honestly. Dr. Umlas will not "baby" you, he tells you what to do to get better & if you follow instructions, you will return to "normal". I am fully ambulatory due to this very skillful surgeon. Staff great!

I had both my hips replaced with Dr Umlas , in 2005 and 2014. The results are excellent. I have zero pain and can do just about everything with no limitations. Recently I fell on uneven pavement and feared that I injured my right hip replacement. Dr Umlas ordered an MRI that revealed pelvic fracture. Dr Umlas monitored my plan for healing. I was pleased and I pressed by the amount of time he gave to me to discuss and explain my injury and healing. I couldn't have asked for better attention.

I found Dr. Umlas to be caring and extremely knowlegeable and with great expertise in his field. He is definitely "above the rest in this field.
