I was crippled with hip pain before Dr. Umlas replaced my hip. No other surgeon was willing to take on my complex case. He is kind, compassionate and extremely skillful. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Umlas is a miracle worker, I had a deformed left hip with osteoarthritis, I had gone to 3 doctors and no one wanted to do the surgery. Dr. Umlas told me from the beginning that it would be a complicated surgery but he accepted the challenge. Its now six weeks since the surgery and I'm walking without a walker and a cane, going to therapy and the only pain I have is the awakening of muscles I have not used in a long time. Just had my one year hip replacement follow up with Dr Umlas and feeling great. He didn't rush me to have surgery until I really needed it and my new hip is perfect. Dr Umlas is a perfectionist and I would trust him with any surgery because he's an amazing surgeon. I have a very small scar and don't feel like I ever had surgery. Everyone in the office is so warm and they're there to help you with anything you need. Highly recommended.
I am a 70-yr-old female who is osteoporotic with serious autoimmune issues who fell & broke the left hip with serious derangement from the knees-down bilaterally. Fortunately I was taken to nearby Mt. Sinai Medical Center for total hip replacement & the other issues by Dr. Umlas. After extensive physical therapy both in- and outpatient I have been able to resume a normal existence, & in record time. Anyone who needs this or similar care would do well to consult with Dr. Umlas first.
I had a previous hip replacement and experienced some issues - so when I moved to FL and needed the other hip done, I did some research, spoke multiple people who had had knee/hip replacements done here in Miami Beach. One name came up consistently as EXCELLENT - Dr. Marc Umlas! I interviewed 2 other surgeons and when I met Dr. Umlas, it took me 10 minutes to decide he was the guy!
