Apart from the difficulty of getting an appointment, the feeling of uncertainty when you get misdiagnosed or informed that appendicitis will settle down and cellulitis doesn't require antibiotics makes you feel unsafe.
Put in my request for repeat prescription,in letter box by reception,rang up to see what has happened to it ,was told that they hadn't got ordered another over the phone with receptionist anwas told it will be dealt with straight away,then told by boots they haven't received anything drs surgery hadn't sent it ,I'm on a low kidney function and need my medication why tell you it's been done when all along it hasn't its very stressful
Can be hard to get a message or triage through online or by phone, do it at 8am. Otherwise it’s almost always closed…or you join a phone queue for an hour only to be cut off when you’re number 1. Very hard when many of us have jobs and/or may be driving. Only other option is go straight to 111 and have them escalate. You may see different GPs and they have no time to read your recent history. The doctors and nurses here are fabulous and very knowledgeable, I have been with them for years my only issue is the triage system and now not being able to speak to anyone together with one way emails ( do not reply) this is not helpful , communication needs to be reviewed so general public have multiple options for contact not just one
