About this business

Malaga Inn is a quaint, privately-owned boutique hotel which was originally built as a residence in the year 1862. Although it underwent several renovations before opening to the public as a hotel and a venue for hosting events, several of the historic rooms were left intact. Today, guests can choose to stay in these charming old chambers or in rooms which face the beautiful courtyard garden. Weddings and receptions can be hosted in these fairy-tale gardens or in the opulent banquet halls inside. Whether it is a business tra... read more

We were on a Spring Break vacation, expecting to get on a cruise ship. Due to fog, we were not able to get on till the next day. We drove a few blocks away from the port and found this lovely little Inn. The staff, although not ready to get bombarded with delayed cruisers, handled the situation like pros. Our rooms were not ready, so the staff showed us to our room and provided rocking chairs for us to sit in and relax, looking into the court yard. My girlfriend and I stayed this past weekend and enjoyed it very much. The staff were very welcoming of us as members of the LGBT community, and our room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. It’s amazing how it blends old world charm with modern amenities, such as great water pressure in the shower and plenty of comfy pillows. Be sure to check out Mayme’s Bar in the original carriage house for a 007 martini or a Malaga mule! If you’re looking for charm, comfort, and cleanliness, this boutique hotel is the real deal.

Nice quaint, quite hotel. Nestled in downtown historical district amongst beautiful oak trees which offer an abundance of greenery and shade! We had the smallest room (March 23rd - 24th) in the inn but it was comfy, cozy and clean! Will definitely keep on my lodging list on my return visit to Mobile, Alabama! Jordan Been, Owner, was the best, polite, professional and down home hospitality!!
