Malaga Inn is a quaint, privately-owned boutique hotel which was originally built as a residence in the year 1862. Although it underwent several renovations before opening to the public as a hotel and a venue for hosting events, several of the historic rooms were left intact. Today, guests can choose to stay in these charming old chambers or in rooms which face the beautiful courtyard garden. Weddings and receptions can be hosted in these fairy-tale gardens or in the opulent banquet halls inside. Whether it is a business tra... read more

Love this Hotel!!! Close to everything, the staff was amazing, rooms were authentic, and very cozy! We are definitely coming back.
We love our stay. This place is beautiful but Had some trouble with our reservation . We booked double historical room with balcony. But-when we got there we had king room no balcony. Wasn’t happy about that because they were booked solid. So we made it through the night was highly disappointed. So check out your reservation before you go if you book through someone other than Malaga.
We loved this old historic hotel. Staff are excellent. Barbara on the front desk so knowledgeable about the history and the area. We had room 218 with a beautiful balcony on the side of the hotel, quiet and beautiful. so good were going back next week for another night. Close to restaurants and parks. If you like old, historic, family run, beautiful hotels which are everything a Holiday Inn is not then this is for you.
This is such a beautiful inn. The staff Barbara and Maisie were wonderful. The rooms are cozy and the historic rooms make you feel like you’re living in the 1800/1900s. Our wonderful bartender Maisie took us on a tour of the inn and you can tell this isn’t just a job for her. She truly loves everything about the history of the Inn and you can tell by the passion in her voice. There’s so much to this place that makes it the perfect place to stay while in Mobile. 100% recommend
The Rich history and lovely atmosphere was wonderful! The front desk staff were NOT friendly nor helpful. The only disappointment was the poor attitude; we asked several times for an extra towel since there were three of us and only two towels. After waiting two hours and multiple requests, we were rudely told that an extra towel would be an additional charge. Then when we asked for directions to nearby restaurants, I was told to “google it”. Which unfortunately, didn’t work due to poor signal. We didn’t expect 5 star servic... read more
Nice clean rooms and the atmosphere was fantastic! The rich history of the place seeps from every pore is this place. Staff was amazing and extremely inviting, will definitely be coming back when we can spend more time. Definitely go down to the bar and visit with Massie, she’s amazing!
Nice place to stay near the cruise ship port!
I found Malaga Inn while looking for a quick ‘get out of town’ after my divorce and I have been going there ever since and every time I stay in Mobile. I miss the older woman who left the front desk to take care of her father, she was very kinda and always took the time to get to catch up from previous stays. Malaga is a great stay with an old world feel with a friendly staff and close enough to everything. (The historic rooms reminds me of my 4 story Victorian circa 1865 that I once owned) While being a small operation, the... read more
