What used to be an old pineapple cannery is now Mala, the epitome of global organic fusion cuisine. It's not as complicated as it sounds. Chef Mark Ellman has his concepts straight: keep everything fresh, quantities adequate, use organic ingredients as much as possible and use no hydrogenated oils or preservatives. We totally recommend eating here. I celebrated my birthday at sunset on the ocean 🌺 it was divine. The food was amazing. The staff was amazing. One of the owners, Ashley, came to our table to greet and check on us. They sang happy birthday and treated me to dessert 😋 A must-Avalon Seared Ahi Sashimi, Ribeye, Special Alfredo flatbread pizza
The Ahi bruschetta is to die for...never seen it before. The entrees, Ahi sashimi and a petite filet were perfect. Don't regret not going here.
