About this business
Specialties Bringing Broadway-caliber musical theater performances to Mid Coast Maine. History Established in 1959. In 1959, Victoria Crandall founded the Brunswick Summer Playhouse as a commercial venture in order to present and preserve the best of musical theatre. In 1967, the name was changed to the Brunswick Music Theatre. In 1978, BMT became a not-for-profit theatre. In 1988, the organization officially became Maine State Music Theatre.

Really top-notch performers and musicians, not to mention wardrobe, set design, lighting, etc. This was my first experience here, and they totally knocked it out of the park with Duke Ellington‘s “Sophisticated Ladies.”
