Arrived at emergency room at 1130pm with my sons girlfriend who had just had an epileptic seizure at a concert. She was still shaking, having trouble breathing. After waiting almost an hour to be seen she was finally brought back to a room where we saw 2 different doctors who told us 2 different things and didn't seem to have a clue the other had already been there. The nurse was a bitch who acted like she didn't want to be there and was very rough when she did a blood draw for a glucose test. Almost 5 hours later they final... read more
The nurse did an amazing job and the doctor was professional, but I had to wait 2 hours to be seen, then when I got a room the emergency room looked like a psych ward. There were people in the hallways on beds, grown men screaming about not having a room. I was completely uncomfortable, and then was sent home after only getting fluids. I ended up going to a different hospital the day after and was admitted in due to colitis.. not a place I would ever want to go back to. Maine should step up their healthcare system. The nurses on the six floor were wonderful while I stayed there in May of this year. They were simply the best.
Everyone has been so nice, so caring and helpful.I couldn't get through all of this if it weren't for all the caring staff and Family. They are taking great care of my son.I am very thankful!!

Not to impressed. I did show up on a busy Saturday night of 4th of July weekend but didn't expect to sit in the ER for 5 hours just to get some meds. Lacking some customer service skills for sure. Never updated me or anything until I finally got a little mad and then they got me in.
They may have taken a bit longer than I wished but they sure did make me feel safe. I was defiantly in good hands for my surgery thanks to all the kind nurses and Dr.Cushing
