What do Teddy Roosevelt, Marilyn Monroe and Diana, Princess of Wales, have in common? You guessed it. They've all taken rides on the Maid of the Mist—or rather one of seven Maids, which first launched its boats in 1846. This world-famous boat takes its passengers right into the heart of the Falls. You can catch the boat on either the American or Canadian side, with boardings every 15 minutes between April and the end of October.

Definitely a must in every person’s life, though you may want to do it on a weekday and not a weekend, lines can be very long even if you go early. I went on Saturday August 11th, in a small tour group, and although we had a 20 minute issue with elevator 1, we calmly got through it and were able to get on the boat for a wet and wild adventure of a lifetime going right by a few of the American falls and then Right into the middle of Canada’s Horseshoe Falls. It was spectacular and well worth the slight inconvenience, when we ... read more
I went on MotM Saturday August 11th. The wait to get *onto* the ride was long, but there was plenty of shade and the line was constantly moving. The experience of the ride itself was indescribably amazing. The experience AFTER the ride was a nightmare. Two of the four elevators were not working, which was NEVER mentioned when we bought our tickets and was never mentioned to anyone buying tickets after we finally got off... so the wait to get back up after the ride was delayed by over 2 hours in the hot sun. No shade. No wate... read more
Fun and joy over the deck. Going into the falls is such a wonderful feeling. If you get a good company you will enjoy the ride 3 times more!
It was fabulous. I would advise to invest in a water proof video camera to capture the Falls as you get very close to them.
Lifetime experience, I did it 2 times. A must do.
Now we know why its considered one of the 7 wonders! Great time...great view!
I had a group of 19and we had an amazing time. Such fun . Breathtaking wonder.
The boat tide is awesome and the experience of being in the falls in unbelievable! The staff were super friecky and helpful. I did not expect the wait . We waited about 2 hours just to get to the elevators. And another hour afterwards to exit. That was just too much! I had my tickets bought and paid did in advance but that made no difference. In any case the flow and access issues really need to be addressed! The experience was amazing but the lines and waiting were really too much. Kudos to your great staff though who went ... read more
Great views, Maid of the Mist boat ride tour was great, however the horrible process of leaving the gorge was very disorganized with no structure. 2 to 4 Out of 4 elevators down at any given time during a 2+ hour wait to return to the top, AFTER exiting the boat. Visitors removing chaos and pushing their way through, with no staff on hand to control a very crowded cluster. Will visit the Canadian side for the next boat tour of the falls.
Maid of the Mist Boat Tour has a 4.8 star rating with 20,229 reviews.
Maid of the Mist Boat Tour is closed now. It will open tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.
